PREAMBLE
The protection of information and the privacy of our users, in accordance with the laws of Poland and the European Union, is a top priority for the Institute for Socio-Political Technologies. The Institute undertakes appropriate measures to ensure the best possible and comprehensive protection of personal data of individuals with whom we cooperate or whose data we use in any other way.
§1
[General Information on the Privacy Policy]
- This Privacy Policy provides information on the rules for processing and protecting personal data, hereinafter referred to as the “Privacy Policy”, collected from individuals in connection with their use of the website https://kybernetes.ngo/ and its subpages, hereinafter referred to as the “Website”.
- The Privacy Policy describes the principles for collecting user data, hereinafter: “Users”, either directly or through cookies and similar technologies.
- This Privacy Policy is for informational purposes only. It is not a source of obligations for Users whose personal data is processed in accordance with it. One of its main functions is to fulfill the information obligation referred to in Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

[Contact with the Administrator]
- The Administrator of personal data, within the meaning of Art. 4(7) of the GDPR, is the Institute for Socio-Political Technologies “KYBERNETES” Foundation based in Toruń, at: ul. Filomatów Pomorskich 4C/45, 87-100 Toruń, registered by the District Court in Toruń, 7th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, KRS: 0000992741, NIP: 8792742068, REGON: 523150878, hereinafter referred to as the “Administrator”.
- To contact the Administrator, the User must fill out the appropriate form and provide certain personal data.
- Providing personal data is voluntary but necessary to respond and address the User’s inquiry.
- The User may also contact the Administrator via email at: rodo@kybernetes.ngo. Personal data such as email address may be shared in this communication.
- All personal data provided by the User via the form or during communication will be processed in accordance with legal regulations, particularly GDPR.

[Outsourcing Data Processing]
- The Administrator may outsource the processing of collected personal data to third parties under data processing agreements.
- Such third parties may include, in particular:
- IT service and server hosting providers,
- cybersecurity service providers,
- telecommunication companies,
- IT service providers,
- external legal advisors,
- banks,
- insurance companies.
- The Administrator may also disclose data in response to requests from authorized state or judicial authorities or entities that co-finance or supervise the Foundation’s operations.

[User Rights]
- The User has the right to access, verify, correct, or delete their personal data by submitting a request to the Administrator (Articles 15, 16, and 17 of GDPR).
- The User has the right to object to the processing of personal data, especially for marketing purposes, based on the Administrator’s or third party’s legitimate interests.
- The User may lodge a complaint regarding data processing with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
- The User has the right to request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), for example, if the data is believed to be inaccurate.

[Purpose and Scope of Data Processing]
The Administrator processes personal data for:
- Responding to inquiries, sending requested offers, and conducting correspondence – based on the User’s consent and the Administrator’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).
- Answering User messages and addressing matters raised.
- Marketing, including promoting the Administrator and services and tailoring content – based on legitimate interest.
- With additional consent, the Administrator may send marketing information via email. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- Analyzing web traffic and ensuring website security.
- Collecting data such as time spent on the site, search terms, number of page views, visit date, and source.

[Data Retention Period]
- Data is retained until consent is withdrawn or the matter is resolved, and then for the limitation period of claims.
- Data from cookies may be stored until the cookie expires.
- Some cookies never expire; thus, data retention is based on the time necessary to fulfill objectives such as security and analysis.

[Preventing Unauthorized Access]
The Administrator applies all legally required technical measures to prevent unauthorized access and modification of personal data transmitted electronically.

- The Administrator uses cookies – small text files stored on the User’s device (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone).
- Information collected via cookies is not combined with other data nor used to identify Users.
- Cookies are used to:
- support visitor counters and language settings,
- analyze how users interact with the Website,
- store session info (e.g., login status), remember login credentials (with consent), and gather device/visit data for security and analytics.

Users may also browse the Website in incognito mode, which prevents data collection about their visit.

Changes in browser settings that block or limit cookie storage may result in limited service functionality. Deleting cookies during service use may also cause issues.

- The Website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., hereinafter “Google.”
- Google Analytics uses cookies to track how Users interact with the Website. Information generated is transmitted to Google.
- Google uses this data to evaluate Website use, generate traffic reports, and provide other services.
- Google may share this information with third parties as required by law or when processing on Google’s behalf.

- The Administrator may include links to external websites.
- Only links to websites with high privacy standards are shared, but the Administrator is not responsible for their data practices or content.
